I, later joined by my husband, have been owned by Pugs since 1998.  We started out as a "Love Pug" family, but after attending our first dog show with some Boxer friends in 2004, I was overcome by the beauty of the Pugs I saw being shown.  They were like no other Pugs I had ever seen before, and I knew at that very moment that I wanted to be a part of "that world".  I also knew that being in a wheelchair there would be obstacles I would have to overcome. However, those obstacles paled in comparison to my hopes and aspirations, as well as my determination.  So, with our desire to enter the show ring, and having 110% commitment to the betterment of the breed in our hearts, we welcomed our first show prospects from the most wonderful breeders.  Through a lot of hard work, sweat, and tears of our own, Hill Country Pugs has been proudly exhibiting multiple generations of award-winning home-bred Champion Pugs for almost 20 years, and has produced numerous top winning Pugs in the Country, including "JJ", "Rumble", and "Biggie", the most winning Pug in the history of the breed!!
